The interior of the house is starting to get some love now. It's fun seeing all the choices we made months ago start to take shape.

The tile has been installed. This is the kids bathroom:


The trim is all up. I'm SO happy with our choice of simple, plain boards. Love it. :)

The exterior has been painted. The front door will be red eventually.

The project for this weekend is to get this sad excuse for a yard looking a little more presentable. The plan is to remove a few trees and getting it all leveled out so it can be mowed.

We were worried about removing this tree because its so close to our carport, but luckily only 3 paving stones and a small strip of concrete were damaged when he pulled it over.

A real roof with shingles and everything!! Yay! They've also started adding the furring strips for the siding.

There has been a lot going on inside the house. Important things... but hard to photograph things.

Sam spent a few hours spray painting the inside our fake dormer today. We wanted it to be black on the inside so that you wouldn't be able to see the framing once the window was in.

Plumbing is starting to show up.

All of the framing is complete.


And this is my FAVORITE part... it came out so much better than I imagined! Its the doormer opened up over our kitchen. A picture really can't do it justice.

The roof is almost covered. Just missing a few spots in the front.

They've started framing. I can't believe how fast it all went up. Its so fun to walk around and see the rooms taking shape.


Zoe made a snack for her and Liam and they ate it in her bedroom. So cute :)

All the block work is complete.

I was happy to look out this morning at 7am to see them delivering a huge stack of lumber. We have the beginnings of a porch on the front :)


And inside they put up the foam board on all the walls.

They delivered our trusses at 8:30p.m. tonight. So we should start seeing a roof soon :)

Looks like they are just about finished laying the block. All four walls are complete, just a little more work on the carport.
